High school level science classes in a residential Christian camp setting. After reading basic topics at home, students come to camp for one week of discussion and laboratories. They enjoy time with fellow students over meals, living together in cabin groups with a highly trained Christian counselor, and playing games or other "hang-out" activities that build relationships and memories. Parents say that these classes were indispensable for their science-minded or science-phobic students. Students over the past 10 years say that this was one of the best weeks of their year, and that the friendships they made have been some of the most significant of their lives. Classes are taught by instructors with more than 10 years experience with high school and college level science. New this year is a physical science class for 8th/9th grade students. | Zoo Atlanta has a fantastic program just for home schoolers. The Zoo Atlanta HomeSchool Academy is an exciting program where students explore animal and science concepts in a fun, interactive environment. The HomeSchool Academy offers one 2-hour program per month that is specifically designed for home school students in grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12.
