Homeschooling in New Mexico
|
State Information
|
- Albuquerque
Home Learners - A diverse, yet unified organization
of homeschooling families who work collectively and cooperatively
to provide encouragement, support, resources, and both
social and educational activities and opportunities to
its members and their children. We are working to
build a fellowship which recognizes each member's valuable
contribution. Our
operation is based upon mutual respect, member initiative,
and a democratically based decision making process. We
acknowledge a responsibility to one another, as well as
to our local community. We will allow our group
to evolve as our enrollment, and our children, grow.
- Albuquerque Homeschool
Co-op - A support group offering homeschooling families
social support, fun, and enriching educational activities.
Our busy group welcomes homeschoolers regardless of religious
belief or educational philosophy.

with like-minded Unschoolers & Radical Unschoolers
within Albuquerque .

D.R.I.V.E. is a Christian homeschool support group for
teens in Albuquerque , NM and surrounding communities.
- East
Mountain Diversity Homeschool Group - We are a group
for people that embrace diversity who homeschool in the
East Mountains area. We have
several families in our group with children ranging in
ages from 3 years old to about 13 years old. We
are having park days in the park area at the Los Vecinos
Community Center in tijeras. During the cold winter
months we meet at the gym at the Los Vecinos Community
Center in Tijeras. We have planned field
trips once a month and the rest of the month we
have once a week play days. This is a free group
except depending on where the group decides to go for
the field trip the place of the field trip may have a
fee. We are a secular group that excepts people
rather they believe in God or don't believe in God, it
doesn't matter if you are Christian, Pagan, Hindu, Shaman,
or any other religion.
- Homeschooling
PACT - an informal, inclusive, cooperative group offering
information, support, and activities for homeschooling
families in the Portales/Clovis/CAFB area of eastern
New Mexico.
- Lea
County Home School Association - We are a group of
parents and children who have come together for support
and fellowship. The purpose of our association is to provide
support, encouragement, and social situations which we
would be unable to provide as individuals such as field
day events, special field trips, etc. We strongly believe
that a child's parents are his best educators. To that
end, we strive to help homeschoolers in our area continue
to educate their children at home. We provide two, 8 week,
co-op sessions per year for children of all ages in our
association. Dues are $10 per family per semester. We offer
two class sessions per week of about 1 1/2 hours each.
Topics of classes include weaving, outdoor safety, law
enforcement,
book making, science, health, cooking, and more. Members
of the association are not required to participate in
co-op but it is strongly recommended.
